Description: Cultivar. Smooth, blue-green leaves edged with red and yellow margins. Finely lined leaf edges end in a sharp terminal spine. Compact, symmetrical rosette. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) rarely offsets. Flower spike, at 10-15 years, can reach 10-12 feet tall. Yellow blooms attract pollinators. Slightly tender in colder winters; benefits from protection from afternoon sun and frost in exposed sites. Excellent for containers, modern landscapes, and small-scale focal points.
