Description: Evergreen, native to South Africa and adapted to Texas. Grass-like foliage with brown flowers held at tips of stalk within and above plant in late summer. Somewhat drought tolerant though it will perform better with supplemental water during the dry season. Does well in seaside areas. Potential for spread in riparian conditions.
